By accessing or using the KAAC Trade Licence Portal ("Portal"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Portal.

2. Definitions

• "Portal" refers to the KAAC Trade Licence Management System
• "User" refers to any individual or entity accessing the Portal
• "Services" refers to all trade licence related services provided through the Portal
• "KAAC" refers to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council

3. Eligibility & Registration

Services are intended for applicants and businesses operating within the jurisdiction of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong under KAAC. Users must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or have legal capacity to enter into agreements
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update registration information
• Have a valid business or trade purpose within the covered jurisdiction

4. User Responsibilities & Conduct

As a user of this Portal, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information in all applications
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and account information
• Notify KAAC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and KAAC policies
• Use the Portal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Portal
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Portal's functionality

5. Application & Documentation

All applications submitted through the Portal must:

• Contain accurate and complete information
• Include all required supporting documents
• Comply with KAAC's application requirements and standards
• Be submitted within the specified timeframes

Note: Submission of false or misleading information may result in application rejection, licence revocation, and legal consequences.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

8. Service Availability & Modifications

KAAC strives to maintain Portal availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Portal may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. KAAC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Portal with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KAAC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Portal, including but not limited to:

• Errors or omissions in Portal content
• Delays in application processing

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KAAC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Portal or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Karbi Anglong, Assam.

12. Changes to Terms

KAAC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Portal. Your continued use of the Portal after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
